About Dr. DeVita

Dr. DeVita has practiced medicine in Brick since 2003. In his spare time he enjoys songwriting, playing the guitar, playing the piano, and winemaking. Dr. DeVita is a member of the band "Not on Call", all of his bandmates are medical professionals. Every year, his band plays for Michael's feat, a charity for seriously ill newborns. He is the founder and secretary of La Società dei Fratelli Medici, the Italian-American Medical Society, a non-profit which funds scholarships for medical education as well as donating time, services and money to those in need.

Education
Dr. DeVita attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and then the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Union Hospital. He studied Interventional Cardiology and Invasive/Noninvasive Cardiology as a fellow at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
Board Certifications
Dr. DeVita is certified by the Institute of Nuclear Education in Principles of Radiation Physics, Medical Radiation Instrumentation, Medical Radiation Protection, Radiopharmaceuticals and Chemistry. He is also certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Memberships
Dr. DeVita is a member of the committees for critical care, education, and osteopathic manipulative therapy at Union Hospital. He is part of the committee for library and education, as well as being administrator of cardiology fellows board review and call schedule at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
